Harlem Renaissance
Here is my Harlem renaissance sketch

Final
Photo

Here is my  final Harlem renaissance piece. It has changed tremendously from the original sketch, but a very good change in my opinion. I also really like the window and maybe would like to pursue a drawing that is in that style.

Pottery techniques:

Mishima Technique: Basically, the first step is to make a sculpture. After  making the sculpture, the artist carves in their design to the clay. Once the design is carved, the next step is to paint glaze over the entire surface area. After glazing it, the artist is to take a wet sponge  and wipe off the  glaze to make it so glaze is only in the crevices  so the design can appear.

Sgraffito Technique: In this technique, the first step again is to make the sculpture. Next they use underglaze to paint the whole thing. Once everything is painted, the artist THEN carves the design into the clay.

SKETCH:

Sprigging: For sprigging you basically make a thin piece, and then make a plaster mold to easily make more  of the same pieces for decorating.
