Project 3
This was my last project of the year. I love making aquatic animals in art class no matter the medium/. This project was really fun and i enjoyed making it a lot. I think i would like making more sea creatures like crabs in my future pottery career.
Project 2
I made a human heart for my second choice project. I really want to be a doctor so this was fitting my my anatomy passion. Glazing this was fun and it was exciting to make it realistic.
Project 1
I made a slab camera and I really like how it turned out. I think the glaze i used for the lens and the glaze i used for the body didn't have the same firing temp so that was kind of disappointing but all in all I had fun making it.
Perplexed Pyramid
Wind Chime/ Mosaic/ Other- project (impressment & slip trailing). I made my own project using impressing techniques then filling those impressments with slip trailing, but intstead of slip I used glaze. I wanted to just do something random and colorful since I never really have before.
Piggy Bank Project (1st project)
I made my first ceramics project a fish bowl because of art I have made previously. I like to make pieces that have to do with nature and animals, particularly, I like to make art associated with underwater themes and I deemed this fitting.
Small Slab Box (5th Project)
This one is very sturdy and has lots of potential, however, the kiln is broken at the moment and I cannot glaze my sketched design. Making the second, smaller, slab piece was easier and a lot more successful than the other.
Family Project (6th Project)
I chose to make this my project because my mother has taken all of my family to Europe. Also, I wanted to make a candle holder since my family always has candles out this time of the year.
Coil Pot (3rd Project)
I made this mushroom with the coil pot method. About half way through the pot, I began to smooth. All of the other details were made with coils like the under-part of the top and the door frame.
Big Slab Piece (4th Project)
This piece was kind of rushed and definitely not my best. Also the kiln broke down while it was being fired so overall it is my least favorite piece . I used the slab method and decorated it with leaves.
Wheel Throwing Project (2nd Project)
This was a new and super fun experience. I am really proud of how evenly I made this, especially considering I had never thrown on the wheel before. I would like to do more on the wheel, but I don't want to get behind or feel rushed on other hand building projects.
Koi Fish
Coil Pot
Monster Project
Slab House (unfinished)
Turtle
This turtle inspired me to make the rest of my ceramic pieces focus on animals and their varying textures.
Box
This assignment needed a key, and to help establish where the grooves go together, the illustrations match.
Olde Towne Facade
This facade mimics one of those from Olde Towne Conyers.
Owl
The primary focus on this owl is the textures it possesses.
Frog
This frog is probably one my favorite pieces I have made this year because of the structure and the glaze.
