Choice Project
I really enjoyed making this piece. It is probably my favorite from the 2017-2018 school year. I have mentioned before that i love drawing things like fish and other aquatic animals. I anted to make it more exciting and interesting by making the tank a gumboil machine.
Choice Piece
This is my choice piece. I am immensely proud of this picture. I put lots of detail into it and made it outside of school. I love drawing fish and other animals, I completely enjoyed the entire process of making this piece.
Still Life
For my props I used things that were very valuable to me; things that were mostly from out of the country. Everything I did in this has meticulous detail and looks way better up close. I am not exactly proud of this one but its alright.
Pen and Ink
This piece was really fun to make. This was similar to the zentangle piece I did in 9th grade. I think I would really like to revisit the ink medium. It was fun and really different than what I am used to I could definitely see myself redoing a project like this.
Harlem Renaissance
Here is my final Harlem renaissance piece. It has changed tremendously from the original sketch, but a very good change in my opinion. I also really like the window and maybe would like to pursue a drawing that is in that style
Proportion Practice
Honestly, this one is okay because I never really draw people, but I definitely could use more practice. The eyes are too big for the face but otherwise I think it is okay.
Portfolio Front and Back
I wanted to keep these extremely simplistic this year. I did the moon and the sun as the O's because they are very significant to me and my best-friend, who is a huge influence on my art.
These incorporate me wanting to grow in various ways and my compassion for traveling and being successful in school. It also includes my desire to go to Brown University after I leave high school.
Value Sketch
This was so super fun to make, and also taught me a lot about shading and the many different values. It is my favorite sketch in my sketch book and I am super proud of it.
Observational Drawing and Sketch
I used the Capri-sun to function as a shovel at the beach in my pictures. It was a new experience but I liked drawing from observation more than drawing from reference photos, I would like to do more observational pictures in the future.
T- Shirt Design
This T-shirt design is pretty simple. Typically, I prefer simple logos over complicated ones. This is just an H saying "Heritage" on top of a paint splatter, and the paint splatter representing the visual arts department.
Perspective Practice and Final Drawing
I love doing perspective drawings. My mom taught me about orthogonal lines when I was a fetus. I find making them super satisfying and it is nice to start with such neat guidelines. I really like this piece I did of the New-York Met Steps.
Portfoilo
Micro Map
Iridescence
Self- Portrait
Oh the Places You Van Gogh
Vans- Hat
I wanted to give this hat a lot of flavor and uniqueness by adding lots of color and patterns
Zentangle
This drawing captures different ideas and patterns throughout.
Silver Moon
I'm awful with technology, but i'll work on flipping this around. Anywho, this piece captures the city/sky line along with a splash of outter space.
Say Cheese
This perspective drawing expresses technology and how much our society continues to develop
Handsy
This drawing definitely could've been better but i'm actually thankful for how it turned out because I can use it as a growing experience
